What are the coaching institutes for mock interview for UPSC in Delhi?

I gave my first UPSC Interview in the year 2018 and the second in 2020 through which I could experience a lot in my preparation journey. This exam is all about your exposer to the world outside your body, as a matter of fact anything and everything around you can be a subject matter for your preparation upsc mock interview

The UPSC Syllabus just gives you a direction to prepare but the whole idea of cracking the exam revolves around your vivid knowledge about things, people, issues around you.

These are some coaching institutes in Delhi where you can get best guidance for UPSC Mock Interview.

  1. Sankalp IAS
  2. Vajiram & Ravi
  3. Drishti IAS
  4. EDEN IAS
  5. Next IAS
  6. Vision IAS

Usually, aspirants those who reach up to the interview level, they at least attempt 5 to 10 mock interviews at different coaching in Delhi so that they can feel confident before appearing for UPSC Interview.

In my first Interview I attended 7 mock interviews at different institutes and in my second attempt I attended 11 mock interviews 9 at different places and 2 in a same coaching (online and Offline modes) based on that I would try to tell my experience.

Sankalp IAS is affiliated to RSS so it is very easy for them to invite a bench of IAS officers to conduct UPSC Mock Interviews. As per their experience the panel asks very good questions and it is worth to attend the mock interview there. Time duration of my interview was around 28 Mins, Feedback was a bit quick, as there is huge crowd to be taken care of.

Vajiram & Ravi has its very traditional way of taking mock interviews, as in both my interviews of 2018 and 2020 I could not find anything different. The questions asked by the panel were more inclined to my optional subject and my hobbies, they took around 33 mins for my interview and the feedback was given on my presentation. There only in the waiting hall one of the candidates suggested to attend mock interview conducted by Eden IAS, so the next I attended at Eden IAS.

Drishti IAS is known for interviews but the level of questions which they ask sometimes is actually not so relevant to the exam. The particular panel which I got was below average and something what was not right, as a few members were too judgmental. But my other friends told me that they got good panel for their mock interview.

Eden IAS has a very good panel and it was very diverse, as I gave two interviews there one in online mode and I really found it helpful and due to the covid lockdown I got an online slot there which later I requested for an offline slot. In my both interviews I got very good panel members, as I can remember the first interview panel had retired IAS officer, and IRS officer, a subject expert, and a psychologist. In my second interview which was offline, there were members – a retired Airforce officer, an IFS, A subject expert of ethics and a retired Commissioner rank officer. I got diverse questions and very good feedback which took around 1 hr. for my mock interview. They gave me a feedback paper in which I was suggested even for my posture and attire for the interview.

The good part was there they take 5 Interviews a day and give proper time to every aspirant. A proper analysis of DAF is also a very important part of the interview. The ambience was also very good. Their interview videos are available on their YouTube channel.

Next IAS has also a good panel and they also treat the aspirants well, the level of question was mixed some easy and some tough. The analysis of DAF was also promising. It just that the crowd is a bit more so the time allocated for interview is good but the time allocated for feedback is not so sufficient. The panel has both member from the bureaucracy and subject experts.

Vision IAS is also good to go, its just the huge crowd and the very less time allotted is the problem. The same issue is with KSG IAS, as last year they conducted around 1000 mock interviews and could show 600 results, they were in too much of hurry to conduct a greater number of interviews.

Rest I attended at Forum IAS and Shankar IAS, were kind of ok ok. Classic IAS and Chahal IAS are waste of time. Sriram IAS is comparatively good. This is as per my view point and experience; you can explore all and even there are many more institutes where you can attend the Mock Interview.

WHO IS THE BEST TEACHER FOR ESSAY (UPSC) IN INDIA?

Tirthankar Roychowdhary Sir who teaches in EDEN IAS is one of the best teachers for Essay Writing in UPSC Mains Examination. Ethics Integrity and Aptitude

I was not aware of EDEN IAS, as I never heard about this coaching, until in 2019 my library mate introduced me to sir. In the very first meeting I felt the motivation and truthfulness in Roy Sir’s talks.

I enrolled in Essay Classes and ETHICS Test Series of EDEN IAS. This was the best experience. Today I feel much more confident in my Ethics writing – which was not the case earlier. I am thankful to my friend and Roy Sir – and that is why I am writing this post, so that others also get help in their UPSC preparation.

The reason for saying that I feel more confident is, in 2019 UPSC Mains my essay and Ethics marks get improved by 12 and 10 marks respectively, and same was the case in year 2020 too. This is the only reason; any aspirant wants to take help from any guide in their UPSC journey. Here Comes the time to write for us about solutions.

EDEN IAS Essay classes are best among all others. One should not waste time in running behind the beg names which are useless.

One personal suggestion I would like to give: Why Essay paper deserves attention? | Ethics Integrity and Aptitude

1) Less Effort More Benefit: With putting even less hard work one can expect marks in the range 140+. If we compare it with other subjects, take for example Optional, then quantum jump of 30-40 marks in Optional Papers one needs to invest 2-3 months but to take a jump from 100-110 marks in Essay to 140-150 range, requires smart work with very little effort.

2) Marks Variation – In GS paper marks variation is not that high but in Essay paper one can observe some students do get marks in the range 140-150 whereas some are getting as low as 80-90. So, if an aspirant just put a little extra effort, he/she can have substantive edge in scoring the good marks in Essay paper in comparison to other GS subjects.

3) Not much extra effort required: – This paper doesn’t require any extra effort. Just the knowledge gained in the GS paper’s preparation and a little bit of guidance can help one in tackling this paper. One must have suggestion to every aspirant is just don’t attempt this paper without any guidance and practicing any test series.

Though in UPSC Mains Examination Essay is easy but it does not mean it should be left unchartered.

So, take all the minimal required possible guidance and trust me in the matter of guidance no one is better than Mr. Tirthankar Roychowdhary Sir. He is the unique and one is never going to regret under his guidance. As my experience say mark improvement is guaranteed.
